In these posts you can read about the stories behind some of the pictures I have taken over the years and some of my artwork. One of my favorite things about photography is the process of taking the pictures. Sometimes, the story is more interesting than the photo! These are my experiences behind the lens.

Waterfalls

Updated: Dec 6, 2017

This was one of the first photos I took with a slower than normal shutter speed. I had always wanted to capture a waterfall this way, but prior to digital cameras, I had not had much success. I went with my girls to a town in the mountains I heard had lots of waterfalls. They were particularly beautiful that weekend because it had been raining a lot. This is Bridal Veil Falls in North Carolina. Currently, driving behind the waterfall is not allowed, but that day it still was. We drove behind the fall and the girls were thrilled...and so was I :)

These orange mushrooms were growing by the side of another waterfall, Dry Falls. The white background behind the mushrooms is the waterfall. For a picture of the waterfall itself, check out my Instagram feed @karenliana
