In these posts you can read about the stories behind some of the pictures I have taken over the years and some of my artwork. One of my favorite things about photography is the process of taking the pictures. Sometimes, the story is more interesting than the photo! These are my experiences behind the lens.

A Lake Under the Snow

Updated: Dec 6, 2017

I was visiting Mt. Rainier National Park in early June. I was enchanted by what I had seen and the majestic views of the this mountain at 14,409 feet above sea level. It was pretty cold for Summer, but I didn't think it would be that cold. I wanted to take of photo of the mountain reflected on the water, but to my surprise, this was what the lake looked like! It was still frozen. Being extremely Puerto Rican, of course I did not have the proper shoes for this type of weather! I even lost a shoe in the snow and had to fish it out with my hands, although I almost froze my toes off, ha, ha. Even though I didn't get to see the mountain's reflection, it looked beautiful like this and on my way down to the lake I saw this wonderful fox. I have never seen a prettier fox. It walked right by my car for a minute and then disappeared into the forest.
